Ingredients

  • 8-10 medium apples , peeled and sliced
  • 2 teaspoons apple pie spice
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup butter, cold
  • 1/2 cup rum or apple juice
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/3 cup caramel ice cream topping
  • 1 package oatmeal cookie mix-or 2 cups bisquick

How To Make caramel walnut apple crisp

  • Step 1
    Heat oven to 375^. Combine apple slices and apple pie spice. Arrange apple slices in a greased 9x13-inch baking pan. Sprinkle walnuts over apples then drizzle the caramel over nuts. Combine brown sugar, cinnamon , nutmeg and cookie mix- or Bisquick, in a bowl. Add butter and blend as for pie crust until crumbly. Set aside. Pour rum over caramel.. Sprinkle cookie mixture over all evenly. Bake for 45 minutes or until apples are tender.
