blackberry sauce
I adopted this orphaned recipe and then adapted it to use on some pork steaks. Yummy!

Ingredients
- 1 pound blackberries
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce, low sodium
- 1/2 cup red wine vinegar
- 1/2 small onion, chopped
How To Make blackberry sauce

Step 1In a medium saucepan, melt butter. Add onoins and cook until softened. Add sugar, lemon juice and berries and simmer until they release their juices.

Step 2Add red wine vinegar and soy sauce. Simmer for an additional 10-15 minutes.

Step 3Remove from the heat, place in a food processor or blender and blend until smooth. Pass through a strainer if seeds are not desired.

Step 4Can be frozen for up to 1 year and makes 1 cup--serve this with duck, pork, chicken.
