This combo of apricots,nuts and citrus flavors make this tart and crunchy conserve makes it go great with any bird.

1 lb
dried apricots
1 1/2 c
orange juice, fresh
grated rind from one medium orange
juice from one lemon
3 1/2 c
3/4 c
chopped walnuts

How to Make Apricot Walnut Conserve


  • 1Cover apricots with water in a heavy stainless steel or enamel saucepan and simmer uncovered about 20 minutes or until tender.Drain, then chop.
  • 2Return chopped apricots to saucepan and combine with orange juice,orange rind,lemon juice and sugar. Bring to a boil and cook until mixture is thick, stirring constantly.
  • 3Remove from heat and stir in nuts.
  • 4Fill and cap containers according to manufacturer's instructions and process in hot water bath for 20 minutes.
