Ma used to make this wonderful and super easy applesauce often. It never made it to the ball jars...Make it chunky, or smooth, add cinnamon or don't. You can make this to suit your tastes. I remember one time she added those cinnamon candies and when they melted it looked like Christmas applesauce!

How To Make applesauce, ma's

Step 1Boil apples in water, once peeled and cored. When cooked, drain off a little water. Cover heavily with cinnamon, add sweet and low to taste.

Step 2Mash coked apples with a potato masher for chunky, or puree in blender or food processor for smooth. Store and cover in fridge, or in tightly sealed ball jars.
