garlic cloves, finely chopped
1 Tbsp
vegetable oil
1/3 c
fish sauce (or less if you prefer)
1/3 c
firmly packed light brown sugar
2-3 tsp
asian chili-garlic sauce (or more to taste)
3 Tbsp
finely chopped toasted peanuts
1/4 c
combination of cilantro and mint leaves

How to Make Vietnamese Peanut Sauce For Wings


  • 1Saute garlic in vegetable oil in a small saucepan over medium heat for 1 -2 minutes or until golden. Stir in fish sauce, brown sugar and chili-garlic sauce.
  • 2Bring to a simmer over medium heat; stirring occasionally - 4 to 5 minutes or until thickened and reduced. Stir in toasted peanuts. Toss wings in sauce and sprinkle coated wings with cilantro and mint.
