I started my cooking career as a salad girl in a local seafood restaurant called the "Seafarer's Inn" in Lockport, NY. One of my jobs was to make this dressing by the gallon weekly.

Ingredients
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1-2 teaspoon sugar
- 1/4 cup heinz ketchup
- 2 tablespoons sweet pickle relish
- 1 - hard cooked egg, finely chopped
How To Make seafarer's inn thousand island dressing

Step 1In a medium bowl, blend mayonnaise with vinegar, sugar and ketchup.

Step 2Fold in the relish and egg. Cover and refrigerate.

Step 3Spoon over iceberg lettuce wedges, salad greens or sliced tomatoes. Makes about 1 3/4 cups.
