Much better than anything you can buy in a grocery store. We like ours rather tangy and with a LOT of the crumbled cheese! Please don't use Miracle Whip or generic mayonnaise in this one - your taste buds will thank you!

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup hellman's mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup buttermilk
  • 1/4 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon tabasco sauce
  • 1 teaspoon freshly squeezed lemon juice (optional, see instructions)
  • 3 ounces roquefort or blue cheese, crumbled

How To Make roquefort or blue cheese dressing

  • Step 1
In a small bowl, whisk together the mayo, sour cream, and buttermilk. Add the Worcestershire and Tabasco sauces. Whisk again.
  • Step 2
Taste. If it is tangy enough to suit your taste, stir in the crumbled cheese. If not, add a bit of the lemon juice and keep adjusting till it's just right for you. Then add the cheese.
  • Step 3
Refrigerate for at least two hours for the flavors to meld. Refrigerate any leftovers.
  • Step 4
NOTE: I've found it's best to buy the Roquefort or Blue Cheese in a solid, rather than already crumbled. It is softer and not dried out, allowing the flavors to meld much better.
