How to Make HOMEMADE RANCH DRESSING MIX

Step-by-Step

  1. Tip: If you do not have buttermilk, purchase dry buttermilk mix. For one cup of buttermilk: Add 4 tablespoons to one cup of milk and mix well. The buttermilk mix stores in the fridge and you will always have it on hand for recipes calling for buttermilk.
  2. In a small bowl, stir together the parsley, pepper, seasoned salt, garlic powder, onion powder and thyme. Use as a substitute for Ranch Dressing Mix.
To make dressing, mix this recipe with 1 cup mayonnaise and 1 cup buttermilk (fresh or from mix). Use in place of one packet of Ranch dressing mix in recipes.
  3. For dip, mix this recipe with 1 3/4 cups sour cream and 1/4 cup of buttermilk.
