ripe tomatoes
2 large
onions

celery

green sweet peppers

granulated sugar

apple cider vinegar
1/4 tsp
cloves, ground
1/2 tsp
allspice
1/2 tsp
cinnamon
3 Tbsp
salt

How to Make Homemade Ketchup

Step-by-Step

  • 1Cook tomatoes, onions, celery and peppers together until soft and mushy
  • 2Force through food press or strainer.
  • 3Place strained mixture in soup kettle and add remaining ingredients.
    Boil 10 minutes.
    Pour into hot, sterilized jars and seal.
