Very good recipe for a table mainstay!! Tasty too!!

Ingredients

  • 4 gallons ripe tomatoes
  • 2 large onions
  • 5 stalks celery
  • 2 - green sweet peppers
  • 3 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 cups apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 teaspoon cloves, ground
  • 1/2 teaspoon allspice
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 3 tablespoons salt

How To Make homemade ketchup

  • Step 1
    Cook tomatoes, onions, celery and peppers together until soft and mushy
  • Step 2
    Force through food press or strainer.
  • Step 3
    Place strained mixture in soup kettle and add remaining ingredients. Boil 10 minutes. Pour into hot, sterilized jars and seal.
