Ingredients For homemade ketchup

  • 4 gal
    ripe tomatoes
  • 2 lg
    onions
  • 5 stalk
    celery
  • 2
    green sweet peppers
  • 3 c
    granulated sugar
  • 2 c
    apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp
    cloves, ground
  • 1/2 tsp
    allspice
  • 1/2 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 3 Tbsp
    salt

How To Make homemade ketchup

  • 1
    Cook tomatoes, onions, celery and peppers together until soft and mushy
  • 2
    Force through food press or strainer.
  • 3
    Place strained mixture in soup kettle and add remaining ingredients. Boil 10 minutes. Pour into hot, sterilized jars and seal.
