guilt-free bleu cheese dressing

Homemade salad dressings are SO easy to make...and they put store-bought versions to SHAME. This recipe is so delicious, yet surprisingly, not that horrible when it comes to calories. Oh, and leave out the bleu cheese, and you have really good Ranch dressing.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup lite or fat-free mayonnaise
  • 1 cup low-fat or fat-free buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup bleu cheese, crumbled
  • 2 tablespoons mixed dried herbs, your choice (basil, oregano, thyme, parsley)
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons fresh-ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • * - dash or two of cayenne pepper
  • * - salt to taste

How To Make guilt-free bleu cheese dressing

  • Step 1
    Combine mayo, buttermilk, herbs, seasonings. Mix well. Add blue cheese and stir until combined. Can store in fridge for about a week.
  • Step 2
    Great on salads or as dip for fresh vegies.
