donna's blue cheese dressing

This is another one of my MIL's tried and true recipes. It is amazing! She makes it and keeps it in a small crock in the fridge. She got the crock in Nova Scotia, and maybe the recipe, too, not sure. I know she has been making this for a good 40+ years. serves 12/ 10WW per serving

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup scallions, chopped
  • 2 cups mayonnaise
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/3 cup white wine vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons white wine, dry
  • 1/2 pound blue cheese, crumbled
  • 1-2 clove garlic
  • 1/2 cup parsley, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (or just a pinch)
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons white pepper
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice, fresh

How To Make donna's blue cheese dressing

  • Step 1
    Mix everything (except blue cheese)together with an electric beater. Stir in crumbled blue cheese.
  • Step 2
    Refrigerate and serve on your favorite salad or with hot wings.
  • Step 3
    This makes a lot, but it keeps in the fridge for a long time. It is a family favorite. YUM!!
