Very simple and easy Cornbread Dressing. I always have to make extra so my family can take it home with them.

Ingredients

  • 8 cups cooked cornbread
  • 1 1/2 cups onion, chopped
  • 1 1/2 cups celery, chopped
  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon rubbed sage
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 dash black pepper
  • 6 cups chicken broth

How To Make cornbread dressing

  • Step 1
    Cook cornbread the night before and crumble. Leave it out overnight to dry.
  • Step 2
    Cook onion and celery in melted margarine over medium heat until tender. Stir in seasonings (poultry seasoning, rubbed sage, salt and dash of black pepper).
  • Step 3
    Add onion mixture to cornbread and add enough broth to make mixture moist, but not soggy. Toss to mix
  • Step 4
    Cook at 350 degrees for 30-45 minutes or until brown
