This recipe came from a friend of mine who teaches Home Ec. Its so rich and delicious. I love the chunky texture of this dressing. It also works nicely as a dip for vegetables.

If you are as big a fan of blue cheese as I am, I think you will like this, too.

Ingredients

  • 3 Tbsp
    buttermilk
  • 3 Tbsp
    sour cream
  • 2 Tbsp
    mayonnaise
  • 2 tsp
    white wine vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp
    sugar
  • 1/4 tsp
    garlic powder
  • ·
    sea salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 4 oz
    blue cheese

How to Make Chunky Blue Cheese Dressing or Dip

Step-by-Step

  1. Stir together buttermilk, sour cream, mayonnaise, vinegar, sugar, and garlic powder until well blended. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Set aside.
  2. In a small bowl, mash blue cheese with a fork until mixture resembles very large-curd cottage cheese. Work until lumps are the size you prefer.

    Gently fold into set aside mixture. Chill and serve over green salad or as a dip for vegetables.
