chunky blue cheese dressing or dip

This recipe came from a friend of mine who teaches Home Ec. Its so rich and delicious. I love the chunky texture of this dressing. It also works nicely as a dip for vegetables. If you are as big a fan of blue cheese as I am, I think you will like this, too.

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons buttermilk
  • 3 tablespoons sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 2 teaspoons white wine vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • - sea salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 4 ounces blue cheese

How To Make chunky blue cheese dressing or dip

  • Step 1
    Stir together buttermilk, sour cream, mayonnaise, vinegar, sugar, and garlic powder until well blended. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Set aside.
  • Step 2
    In a small bowl, mash blue cheese with a fork until mixture resembles very large-curd cottage cheese. Work until lumps are the size you prefer. Gently fold into set aside mixture. Chill and serve over green salad or as a dip for vegetables.
