This is an easy chili oil to make yourself.If you leave the pepper flakes in the oil; they will make it hotter the longer it stands. The oil keeps indefinitely in a small glass jar with a tight fitting lid in the refrigerator.

Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons red pepper flakes
- 1/2 cup peanut oil
- 1/4 cup canola or safflower oil
- 1 tablespoon sesame seed oil, optional
How To Make chili oil

Step 1In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the pepper flakes and peanut oil and canola oil. Bring almost to a boil, then turn off the heat and let cool, if using the sesame seed oil , add that now.

Step 2Strain into a glass container with a tight fitting top. You could also cook it with a garlic clove , if desired.
