This is an easy chili oil to make yourself. If you leave the pepper flakes in the oil; they will make it hotter the longer it stands. The oil keeps indefinitely in a small glass jar with a tight fitting lid in the refrigerator.
1In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the pepper flakes and peanut oil and canola oil.
Bring almost to a boil, then turn off the heat and let cool, if using the sesame seed oil , add that now.
2Strain into a glass container with a tight fitting top.
You could also cook it with a garlic clove , if desired.
