Having one GIANT brain fart here, can't remember where I found this recipe. The original does call for Stilton Blue Cheese, not only do I find it rather pricey but also stronger then I prefer. I used a locally made Blue Cheese and am thrilled with the results.

Ingredients

Add to Grocery List

  • 1 c
    crumbled blue cheese
  • 1/3 c
    mayonnaise
  • 1/4 c
    sour cream
  • 3 Tbsp
    milk
  • 3 Tbsp
    red wine vinegar
  • 1 clove
    minced garlic
  • ·
    salt & pepper to taste
  • ·
    fried & crumbled bacon (optional)

How to Make BLUE CHEESE DRESSING

Step-by-Step

  1. Whisk 3/4 cup blue cheese and the rest of the ingredient (but without the bacon).
  2. I like to plate wedges of iceberg lettuce on individual salad plates, drizzle dressing over them, sprinkle on the bacon bits and top that with the leftover crumbled blue cheese.
  3. This is just a simple salad but yet so rich.
