We love this tangy cucumber dill tzatziki sauce! I tried many recipes with much disappointment in the flavors. So I developed my own version!

yield About 2 2/3 cups

Ingredients

  • 1 seedless cucumber
  • 2 cups nonfat greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano, dried
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced fine or pressed
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt, of using table salt reduce to1/2 teaspoon

How To Make tzatziki sauce

  • Step 1
Grate cucumber into a clean kitchen towel. Squeeze as much of the moisture out as possible. Dump out into a mixing bowl.
  • Step 2
Add rest of ingredients and mix well. Taste to check seasoning.
  • Step 3
Cover and place in fridge for at least 30 minutes. The longer it sits in the fridge the better the flavors will develop.
  • Step 4
Can be stored in fridge for 7 days. Not freezable.
  • Step 5
We enjoy this on Gyros, with tortilla chips, pita chips, and fresh cut veggies.
