I made up this recipe many years ago. It is a special treat for everyone when we are watching a movie or sporting event... or a nice afternoon snack. My grandchildren love this! (They have never had the adult dip that I use to serve at parties).

Ingredients For triple dip !

  • DIP BASE
  • 2 pkg
    (8 ounces each) cream cheese
  • 1 pkg
    (16 ounces) sour cream
  • SAVORY DIP
  • 1 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    black pepper
  • 1 Tbsp
    fresh dill weed (chopped)
  • SWEET DIP
  • 2 c
    powdered sugar (more if you want thicker)
  • 1 Tbsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1
    orange (zest only) (fine)
  • ADULT DIP
  • use triple sec instead of vanilla

How To Make triple dip !

  • Cream cheese and sour cream being beaten together.

    DIP BASE: Using an electric mixer, combine the sour cream and cream cheese.
  • Cream Cheese, Sour Cream, vanilla and powdered sugar.

    Divide into two or three bowls.
  • Garlic powder, cream cheese, ranch dressing, sour cream, black pepper and fresh dill weed.

    SAVORY DIP: Combine savory ingredients into either half or one third of the Dip Base. Set in refrigerator or into a serving dish.
  • Powdered sugar, cream cheese, sour cream and vanilla.

    Sweet Dip: Combine ingreients into half or one third of the Dip Base. Refrigerate or put into a serving dish.
  • Triple Sec and orange (for zest) to use in adult recipe.

    Adult Dip: Replace the vanilla with triple sec and mix into one third or one half of the Sweet Dip. Put in refrigerator or into a serving dish.
  • Savory Dip with crackers and pretzels.

    Serve with your favorite crackers and pretzels. (I used 2 sizes of Cheese-Its and Old Dutch Butter Spindles pretzels).
