Ingredients

  • 1/2 tablespoon butter or margarine
  • 1 cup finely chopped onion
  • 2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
  • 8 ounces sour cream
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise or miracle whip
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

How To Make the best french onion dip

  • Step 1
    In medium skillet, heat butter over medium-high heat until melted; add onion. Cook and stire 3 to 5 minutes or until tender and lightly browned.
  • Step 2
    Remove from heat, stir in worcestershire sauce. Cool completely.
  • Step 3
    In medium bowl, combine cooled onion mixture, sour cream, mayonnaise, salt and papper; mix until blended.
  • Step 4
    Cover and refrigerate at least 1 hour to allow flavors to blend.
  • Step 5
    Will keep for days if covered and recipe doubles easily.
