texas guacamole
This is a small batch, but it would be easy to make a larger amount. A friend from Texas says that this is the authentic way to make guacamole - no tomatoes!

Ingredients
- 1 avocado, ripe
- 1 clove garlic, grated (or 1/4 tsp garlic powder)
- 1/2 Serrano pepper or jalapeno pepper, minced
- 1 tablespoon onion, minced finely
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, minced
- 1 tablespoon lime juice (from fresh lime if possible)
- salt, to taste
How To Make texas guacamole

Step 1Cut the avocado in half, remove the pit. Keep it to put in finished quac if not serving it right away, or to store leftovers until later.

Step 2Scoop out all the flesh into a small bowl and smash with a fork.

Step 3Stir in garlic, onion, pepper, cilantro, and lime juice until well blended. Add salt to taste.

Step 4Serve with tortilla chips or veggies as a dip. Or on tacos, etc!
