I've used this recipe numerous occasions. Makes a very attractive dip that can be served at any party.

I've had it requested for several parties that I've been to and for holiday gatherings with the family.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz
    cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 c
    dairy sour cream
  • 2 tsp
    chili powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    ground cumin
  • 1/8 tsp
    ground red pepper
  • 1/2 c
    salsa
  • 2 c
    shredded lettuce or lettuce leaves
  • 1 c
    shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 c
    diced plum tomatoes
  • 1/3 c
    sliced green onions
  • 1/4 c
    sliced ripe olives
  • 1/4 c
    pimiento-stuffed green olives
  • 1 c
    shredded monterey jack cheese
  • ·
    tortilla and blue corn chips

How to Make Taco Dip

Step-by-Step

  1. Combine cream cheese, sour cream, chili powder, cumin and red pepper in large bowl; mix until well blended.
  2. Stir in salsa. Spread onto 10" serving platter lined with lettuce. Top with cheeses, tomatoes, green onions and olives. Serve with chips.
