This is the 7-layer dip recipe our family makes and loves. I know there are many variations of it, but ours does not include meat of any kind and can be served hot or cold

Ingredients

  • 2 cans refried beans
  • 1 can chopped green chilies
  • 2 - 3 - tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 bunch scallions, chopped
  • 8 ounces sour cream
  • 3 - avocados, mashed
  • 1 package taco seasoning mix
  • 2 - 3 cups monterey jack & cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 can black olives, sliced

How To Make seven layer mexican dip

  • Step 1
    Mix refried beans and taco mix together and spread in 9x13" pan
  • Step 2
    Mix mashed avocados with chilies and layer on top of beans
  • Step 3
    Spread Sour cream gently on top of avocado
  • Step 4
    Sprinkle shredded cheese over top sour cream
  • Step 5
    Sprinkle on tomatoes, scallions, and black olives in any order
