I use a 3-4 qt crockpot and heat on high to start...when all is mixed and creamy...lower heat to warm...other wise, if it gets cold, it is harder to scoop onto the chips. I use tortilla great! I also use mild tomatoes and chilies but you can use whatever spiceyness you enjoy! If sage sausage is not located in your can substitute plain mils sausage and add 2 TBSP sage seasoning.

tomatoes with chilies

How to Make Sausage Dip


  • 1cut cream cheese blocks into 1/4' in crockpot
  • 2cook sausage on stove
  • 3when sausage is done...drain and add to cream cheese
  • 4add both cans of tomatoes with chilies...stir all ingredients thouroughly
  • 5when all is mixed well and the cream cheese is a creamy texture...scoop with tortilla chips and eat
  • 6can either be served in the crockpot to stay warm or dipped up into a bowl but warning...if it gets cold it is harder to scoop
