Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil, light
  • 1/4 cup white onion, diced
  • 12 ounces white america cheese
  • 4 ounces monterey jack cheese
  • 1 cup cream
  • 2 medium roma tomatoes, seeds removed and diced
  • 1 bunch cilantro, fresh, chopped

How To Make queso blanco

  • Step 1
    Heat the oil in a saute pan over medium heat.
  • Step 2
    Saute the onion until softened and reduce heat to medium-low.
  • Step 3
    Stir in the shredded cheese and 1/4 cup of the cream.
  • Step 4
    Quickly stir until the cheese is melted.
  • Step 5
    Add the tomatoes, cilantro, and additional cream a little at a time until you reach desired consistency.
  • Step 6
    Serve immediately with tortilla chips, tortillas, or on tacos, burritos, etc.
