  • 1
    18 1/2 oz can crushed pineapple in syrup
  • 1 c
  • 1 c
  • 1 c
    white vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp
    dark soy sauce
  • 3 Tbsp
    corn starch
  • 4 Tbsp
    cold water
  • 1 c
    of plum preserves or jam

How to Make Plum Preserves Sweet and Sour Sauce


  1. Heat pineapple with syrup, sugar, 1 cup water, vinegar and soy sauce to boiling.
  2. Mix cornstarch and 2 tablespoons cold water, stir into pineapple mixture.
  3. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Cool to room temperature, stir in plum jam. Cover and refrigerate. Serve with egg rolls and wontons.
