my favorite guacamole
(1 RATING)
This is an old recipe, & even though there are updates out there, we still like this recipe. It is mainly, because we don't do too spicy dips. But, you could add extra spice, if that is "your favorite" thing.

Ingredients
- 2 - avocados
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon grated onion w/juice
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup reduced fat mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup reduced fat sour cream
How To Make my favorite guacamole
-
Step 1Mash pitted & scooped out avocados well with fork, while adding lemon juice. (Keeps it from turning brown.) Save one avocado pit.
-
Step 2Stir in grated onion w/onion juice, chili powder, & salt.
-
Step 3Mix in mayonnaise & sour cream well. Put the avocado pit in the middle of the dip (also helps to keep from browning). Cover w/plastic wrap & chill.
-
Step 4To serve, remove pit & stir. Serve with corn chips, crackers & veggies. Makes 1 3/4 cups. If there are leftovers, repeat steps from earlier, & store in refrigerator.
