This is an old recipe, & even though there are updates out there, we still like this recipe. It is mainly, because we don't do too spicy dips. But, you could add extra spice, if that is "your favorite" thing.

    avocados
  • 1 Tbsp
    lemon juice
  • 1 Tbsp
    grated onion w/juice
  • 1/2 tsp
    chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 c
    reduced fat mayonnaise
  • 1/4 c
    reduced fat sour cream

How To Make my favorite guacamole

  • 1
Mash pitted & scooped out avocados well with fork, while adding lemon juice. (Keeps it from turning brown.) Save one avocado pit.
  • 2
Stir in grated onion w/onion juice, chili powder, & salt.
  • 3
Mix in mayonnaise & sour cream well. Put the avocado pit in the middle of the dip (also helps to keep from browning). Cover w/plastic wrap & chill.
  • 4
To serve, remove pit & stir. Serve with corn chips, crackers & veggies. Makes 1 3/4 cups. If there are leftovers, repeat steps from earlier, & store in refrigerator.
