Very pretty when prepared on a silver or glass serving tray. I always have requests for this dip at parties and family functions!

How to Make Mexican-style Seven Layer Dip

Step-by-Step

  1. In small bowl, mix taco seasoning and sour cream.
  2. On large platter or serving dish, spread refried beans in an even layer, covering to 1" of platter's edge. Spread sour cream mixture over this layer. I like to leave about a 1/4" border of beans showing for presentation purposes.
  3. In order, sprinkle shredded lettuce, tomatoes, green chilis, cheese, and black olives. Serve with tortilla chips or Fritos. NOTE- if black olives are not to your taste, you can substitute salsa before adding shredded cheese.
