mary lou's sweet & hot mustard

Recipe given to me by my sisters best friend Mary Lou, we use this at the holiday season. Its always a big hit. I know I said this was a quick and easy recipe even though you have to let it sit for 24 hours, it really is easy.

Ingredients

  • 4 ounces dry mustard
  • 1 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups mayonnaise
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

How To Make mary lou's sweet & hot mustard

  • Step 1
    Mix mustard and vinegar well and let sit over night 24 hours is best but I have made this after just sitting over night.
  • Step 2
    Beat the egg well and add the sugar and salt, add this to the mustard mix and cook on med. heat until mixture thickens, let cool all the way, then add the mayonnaise. this will keep in the refrigerator for two weeks maybe longer.
  • Step 3
    very good with roast turkey.
