  • 2 1/2 Tbsp
    soy sauce, low sodium
  • 2 1/2 Tbsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp
    dry sherry
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp
    white sugar
  • 1/2 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    ground ginger

How to Make Lucy's Tonkatsu Sauce


  1. Combine the ketchup, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, sherry, sugar, garlic powder, and ginger in a microwave-safe coffee mug or glass measuring cup.
  2. Stir well with a fork and microwave on high for 1 minute.
  3. Stir again and set aside.
  4. Let stand for 1 hour to allow the flavors to incorporate.
