Ingredients For lemony hummus

  • 1 can
    chickpeas - garbanzo beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1/3 c
    tahini
  • 2 clove
    garlic, grated or minced
  • 2 Tbsp
    lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp
    lemon zest (or use more)
  • 1/8 tsp
    cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 tsp
    black pepper
  • 1/8 tsp
    cumin
  • 1/4 tsp
    sea salt, or to taste
  • assorted veggies or pita bread, to dip

How To Make lemony hummus

  • 1
    Puree chickpeas and other ingredients together until smooth. If too thick, add water, 1 tablespoon at a time until desired consistency. Adjust salt and pepper to taste.

    Serve with vegetable crudités. Also good with pita bread wedges or crisps.
