layered taco dip
I had just a few ingredients at home and found a recipe I was able to adjust into this one. It is a really tasty dip, or can be served as taco salad. Be creative and have fun!

Ingredients
- 2 pounds ground beef (or your choice)
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1 cup salsa
- 1 package taco seasoning ( i use low sodium)
- 1 can corn or black beans or your choice
- - cayenne pepper
- 2 cups cheddar cheese, grated
- 1 can refried beans
- about 4 - four tortillas
How To Make layered taco dip

Step 1Brown meat

Step 2add tomato sauce (you can use tomato paste plus one can of water if you do not have the sauce), salsa, taco seasoning, corn or beans, or corn AND beans, whatever you like, and cayenne pepper or crushed red pepper to taste

Step 3simmer meat mixture

Step 4in a 2 quart casserole begin layering tortilla, refried beans, meat mixture and shredded cheese. You should be able to layer three to four times. Always top with Cheese, despite which layer you end on

Step 5bake on 350 degrees for 20 minutes or until cheese is fully melted and bubbling.

Step 6serve with sour cream and tortilla chips, and any other toppings you would like, such as green onions, tomatoes, black olives, etc.
