I have used light mayo & sour cream, turns out fine. Also have used fat free refried beans.

Also, to turn up the heat, I sometimes serve jalapenos on the side. For a varation I have served avacados chopped on the side too.

Can also be doubled using a larger pan.

Ingredients

  • 1 c
    sour cream
  • 1 c
    mayonnaise
  • 1 pkg
    taco seasoning mix
  • 1 can(s)
    refried beans
  • ·
    toppings of your choice ( i use shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, thinly sliced green onion, shredded cheddar cheese & sliced black olives)
  • ·
    tortilla chips

How to Make Layered Taco Dip

Step-by-Step

  1. In bowl combine sour cream, mayo, & taco seasoning mix. In serving dish ( I use a 10 inch pyrex glass dish spred beans out in thin layer. Spread over the top of the beans the sour cream mixture.
  2. Sprinkle shredded lettuce completely covering sour cream mixture. Add toppings of your choice ending with cheese & black olives on top. Cover and place in fridge for about an hour. Serve with tortilla chips.
