I have used light mayo & sour cream, turns out fine. Also have used fat free refried beans. Also, to turn up the heat, I sometimes serve jalapenos on the side. For a varation I have served avacados chopped on the side too. Can also be doubled using a larger pan.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 package taco seasoning mix
  • 1 can refried beans
  • - toppings of your choice ( i use shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, thinly sliced green onion, shredded cheddar cheese & sliced black olives)
  • - tortilla chips

How To Make layered taco dip

  • Step 1
    In bowl combine sour cream, mayo, & taco seasoning mix. In serving dish ( I use a 10 inch pyrex glass dish spred beans out in thin layer. Spread over the top of the beans the sour cream mixture.
  • Step 2
    Sprinkle shredded lettuce completely covering sour cream mixture. Add toppings of your choice ending with cheese & black olives on top. Cover and place in fridge for about an hour. Serve with tortilla chips.
