I developed this recipe originally for a dip for steamed asparagus, but added the shrimp and it became a hit to serve with chips. If you want more or less shrimp feel free to change the amount. Leave the shrimp out completely and you have a great asparagus dip.

Ingredients

3/4 c
sour cream
1/4 c
mayonnaise
3 Tbsp
chopped red onion
2 Tbsp
lemon juice
1 Tbsp
plus 1 teaspoon capers, drained and chopped
2 tsp
lemon zest
2 tsp
dried tarragon
1/2 tsp
onion powder
1/2 tsp
sugar
1/4 tsp
pepper
1/2 lb
cooked salad shrimp

How to Make Jan's Shrimp Dip

Step-by-Step

  • 1Mix the sour cream, mayonnaise, onion, lemon juice, capers, lemon zest, tarragon, onion powder, sugar, and pepper together with a whisk.
  • 2Add salad shrimp.
  • 3Mix well.
  • 4Refrigerate until chilled, about 2 hours.
  • 5Serve with chips or crackers.
