Ingredients

  • 2 quarts green tomatoes, small
  • 12 small cucumbers
  • 3 small jalapeno peppers, seeded
  • 1 head - cauliflower, small florets
  • 2 bunches - celery
  • 1 pint small onions
  • 2 quarts string beans
  • 1 head - cabbage
  • 1/4 pound mustard seed
  • 2 ounces tumeric
  • 1/2 ounce allspice, ground
  • 1/2 ounce black pepper
  • 1/2 ounce cloves
  • - salt, to taste
  • - sugar, to taste - start with 1 c
  • 1 gallon vinegar

How To Make jalapeno chow chow

  • Step 1
    Prepare vegetables & cut in small pieces.
  • Step 2
    Cover with salt, let stand 24 hours & drain.
  • Step 3
    Heat vinegar, sugar & spices to boiling point, add vegetables & cook until soft.
  • Step 4
    Can as usual.
