I have made this many times at different parties and family reunions and it always gets ate up!

Ingredients

  • 1 can chickpeas (garbanzo beans)
  • 4 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 4 tablespoons tahini (sesame seed paste)
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh ground pepper

How To Make hummus

  • Step 1
    Place all ingredients in a food processor or a blender and process until smooth. You may need to add a little more olive oil to get a nice, smooth texture that is easy to dip. Chill at least 30 minutes before serving or if you prefer you can also serve at room tempature.
  • Step 2
    NOTE* The tahini can be sometimes found at regular grocery stores or at a middle eastern groceries.
