I have made this many times at different parties and family reunions and it always gets ate up!

  • 1 can(s)
    chickpeas (garbanzo beans)
  • 4 Tbsp
    lemon juice
  • 4 Tbsp
    tahini (sesame seed paste)
  • 2 Tbsp
    extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 clove
    fresh garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 1/2 tsp
    fresh ground pepper

How to Make Hummus


  1. Place all ingredients in a food processor or a blender and process until smooth. You may need to add a little more olive oil to get a nice, smooth texture that is easy to dip. Chill at least 30 minutes before serving or if you prefer you can also serve at room tempature.
  2. NOTE* The tahini can be sometimes found at regular grocery stores or at a middle eastern groceries.
