chickpeas (garbanzo beans)
4 Tbsp
lemon juice
4 Tbsp
tahini (sesame seed paste)
2 Tbsp
extra virgin olive oil
2 clove
fresh garlic, minced
1/2 tsp
1/2 tsp
fresh ground pepper

How to Make Hummus


  • 1Place all ingredients in a food processor or a blender and process until smooth. You may need to add a little more olive oil to get a nice, smooth texture that is easy to dip. Chill at least 30 minutes before serving or if you prefer you can also serve at room tempature.
  • 2NOTE* The tahini can be sometimes found at regular grocery stores or at a middle eastern groceries.
