Hominy/green chili cheese stuff
Now it's one of our favorites. we use this as a side dish or dip with tortillas or corn chips. also makes a great meatless maindish on Fridays-I prep the cheese the night before and in the morning mix it all together-just pop it in the oven for an hour when we both get home.
2 large can(s)white hominy, drained
1 16oz. pkgsour cream
2 large can(s)chopped green chilis
·bread crumbs, seasoned
·montery jack cheese and pepper jack cheese, shredded, no specific amount but a 50/50 ratio
How to Make Hominy/green chili cheese stuff
- Mix hominy, green chilis,sour cream and aproximatly 3/4 of cheese mixture(reserve other 1/4 amount for top) stir until well blended together and stiff.
- spread in butter casserol dish, sprinkle with remaining cheese, and breadcrumbs. Dot top with butter.
- Bake in 350F oven for 45 minutes
- then broil for 5-10 minutes until top is browned slightly and nice and bubbly on top.
