My pastor's wife in NY served this at their annual open house and my husband loved it. I make it when we tailgate on the plains in Auburn. Must be served warm with a great cracker.

Ingredients

  • 16 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1 jar dried beef, chopped
  • 4 tablespoons onion, finely chopped
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 4 tablespoons milk
  • 4 tablespoons green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 cup pecans, coarsely chopped
  • - additional pecans for sprinkling on top
  • - fresh chopped parsley for garnish if desired

How To Make holiday appetizer pie

  • Step 1
    Blend together cream cheese and milk. Mix well.
  • Step 2
    Stir in dried beef, green pepper and onion. Mix well. Stir in sour cream and nuts.
  • Step 3
    Spoon into a 9-inch pie plate or shallow baking dish. Sprinkle with chopped pecans. Bake at 350-degrees for 15 minutes.
  • Step 4
    Sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley if desired. Serve hot with crackers.
