My pastor's wife in NY served this at their annual open house and my husband loved it. I make it when we tailgate on the plains in Auburn. Must be served warm with a great cracker.

Ingredients

  • 16 oz
    cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1 jar(s)
    dried beef, chopped
  • 4 Tbsp
    onion, finely chopped
  • 1 c
    sour cream
  • 4 Tbsp
    milk
  • 4 Tbsp
    green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp
    freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 c
    pecans, coarsely chopped
  • ·
    additional pecans for sprinkling on top
  • ·
    fresh chopped parsley for garnish if desired

How to Make Holiday Appetizer Pie

Step-by-Step

  1. Blend together cream cheese and milk. Mix well.
  2. Stir in dried beef, green pepper and onion.

    Mix well. Stir in sour cream and nuts.
  3. Spoon into a 9-inch pie plate or shallow baking dish. Sprinkle with chopped pecans.

    Bake at 350-degrees for 15 minutes.
  4. Sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley if desired.

    Serve hot with crackers.
