Being from Philly hoagies are part of our everyday life! This recipe came from a friend of mine, I have made it for my family and friends and they all love it! I hope you enjoy this simple but awesome dip.

Ingredients

  • 1 medium onion
  • 2 - pickled pepperoncini peppers
  • 1/2 - head iceberg lettuce
  • 1 large tomato, halved and seeded
  • 1/4 pound each of deli-sliced ham, salami and turkey
  • 1/4 pound each of deli-sliced provolone, american and swiss cheese
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons dried basil
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 8 - hoagie rolls, cut into pieces, for dipping

How To Make hoagie dip

  • Step 1
    Chop the onion, pepperoncini, and tomato into bite-size pieces.
  • Step 2
    Shred the lettuce
  • Step 3
    Dice the meats and cheese.
  • Step 4
    Combine the chopped vegetables, meats and cheese in a large bowl.
  • Step 5
    whisk the mayonnaise, olive oil, oregano, basil and red pepper flakes in a small bowl
  • Step 6
    Stir the dressing with the meats, cheese and vegatables.
  • Step 7
    Refrigerate until ready to serve.
  • Step 8
    Use the hoagie rolls pieces to scoop up the dip. Yummers!
