I moved to North Carolina from Texas and missed that "Good ol' Tex Mex" guacamole. I felt the need to come up with my own.

avocados, ripe
1 Tbsp
lime juice
8 oz
whipped cream cheese
1 1/2 Tbsp
garlic powder
3/4 tsp
1 1/2 tsp
sea salt
1/4 c
cilantro, fresh, finely chopped
1/2 c
onions, vidalia, peeled and chopped
3/4 c
salsa, chunky

How to Make "Good ol' Tex Mex" Guacamole


  • 1I found that by using fresh ingredients like cilantro and vidalia onions makes this guacamole the best.
  • 2Mash - peeled and pitted avocados, lime juice and whipped cream cheese together until creamy in a medium bowl, then stir in the remaining ingredients. Return a few avocado pits to mixture and refrigerate at least an hour to allow flavors to blend. Then enjoy
