favorite clam dip
This is a variation of a recipe that our family has enjoyed for over 50 years. It has a bit of tang compared to most versions that are traditionally made. I make this for all family events and might as well not go if I don't have any to bring. Perfect with chips while watching TV!

Ingredients
- 2 - 8oz packages cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 2-3 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 teaspoons lemon pepper
- 1 teaspoon celery salt
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1 - 6oz cans minced clams with juice

Step 1Open and drain clams, saving juice.

Step 2Place clam juice with all ingredients (except clams) into mixing bowl or processor bowl. Blend well. (Note: If using only 1 pkg of cream cheese, be sure to use only half the of the clam juice or it will be too runny.)

Step 3Add canned clams to cream cheese mixture. (Mix in short bursts if using processor.) Adjust seasonings to taste. Add more lemon juice if desired.

Step 4Place into storage container and refrigerate before serving for best taste! Makes about 3 cups. Serve with dip chips... Enjoy!
