Ingredients

  • 1 package ranch salad dressing mix
  • 1/2 cup hellman's mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 8 ounces chive cream cheese, softened
  • 8 ounces cheddar cheese, shredded and set out at room temperature for 1 hour
  • 1/2 to 3/4 cups toasted almonds, sliced or slivered
  • - (cheddar cheese may be anything from mild to extra-sharp, depending on your taste.)

How To Make ellen's tangy cheese ball

  • Step 1
    In a large bowl, mix together the salad dressing mix, mayonnaise, milk, and cream cheese with an electric mixer.
  • Step 2
    Add the cheddar cheese and mix well. Cover and freeze mixture for 30 minutes.
  • Step 3
    Shape the cheese into a ball and roll in the toasted almonds. Serve with assorted crackers or chips.
