easy taco dip
(1 RATING)
I acquired this recipe back in the 80's from someone on my bowling league. I wrote it down, and started making it for special occasions. It's been a hit ever since.

Ingredients
- 1 - large tortilla
- 2 packages cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup mayo or miracle whip
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 6 - 8 small drops tabasco sauce
- 1 cup taco sauce
- 1 package shredded cheese
- 1 small scallion, chopped (optional)
How To Make easy taco dip
-
Step 1Preheat oven to 375.
-
Step 2Take one tortilla and bake in a tortilla bowl pan for 6-8 minutes at 375. Let cool upside down for 5 minutes. You can also serve this dip in a regular bowl, if desired.
-
Step 3In a large bowl, combine cream cheese, mayo or Miracle Whip, sour cream, garlic powder, chili powder and tabasco. Cream until well blended.
-
Step 4Place mixture in tortilla bowl. Top with salsa, shredded cheese and scallion, if desired. Serve with tortilla chips. The Tostitos scoops are fun, because they look like little tortilla bowls. I like to use either the Jack and Colby blend or Mexican blend cheese for this dip.
