My grandma woul make this and we would have over icecream while it was still warm. Oh the memories:)

  • 1 stick
    butter or margarine
  • 1 c
    light brown sugar ( i have used the dark also)
  • 1/2 c
    heavy cream
  • 1 Tbsp

How to Make Easy Caramel Sauce


  1. Cook together the stick of butter or margarine with 1 cup of brown sugar. Cook on medium to medium low unti sugar is melted.
  2. Stir in 1/2 cup of heavy cream; bring to a boil. Remove from heat; add vanilla.
  3. Serve over icecream, pound cake, whatever you wish really.
  4. makes 1 1/2 cups. Will keep for one week in a covered container in the refrigator
