Since there are so many different types of Crock Pots/slow cookers and some of the newer ones cook faster then the older models; check to see if the cheese has melted after about 1 hour. If you have an older Crock Pot you may need to cook this as long as 4 hours.

You could even serve this in a hard taco shell or soft tortilla (topped with a little lettuce and sour cream) for a small meal. A delicious and easy recipe!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 can chili beans, 14 oz
  • 1 can chopped green chilies, 4.5 oz
  • 8 ounces cream cheese (cubed)
  • 8 ounces shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder (use either mild or hot)

How To Make crock pot taco dip

  • Browning ground beef in a skillet.
    Step 1
    Brown the ground beef in a skillet.
  • Draining fat from the skillet.
    Step 2
    Drain the fat and transfer a Crock Pot.
  • Taco dip ingredients in the slow cooker.
    Step 3
    Add all of the remaining ingredients. Cover and cook on LOW 1-4 hours or until cheese is melted. (Refer to personal note for further information).
  • Crock Pot Taco Dip on a tortilla chip.
    Step 4
    Switch to a warm setting and/or leave on LOW and serve with tortilla chips.
