creamy blackbean dip

This is a dip I made for a cinco de mayo party and everyone loved it! They couldn't stop eating it!

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces lite cream cheese - softened
  • 8 ounces monterey jack cheese with jalapeno peppers - shredded
  • 3/4 cup fat free sour cream
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 2 cans 15 oz. each blackbeans - drained and rinsed
  • 16 ounces mild salsa
  • 2 - green onions - chopped
  • - tortilla chips

How To Make creamy blackbean dip

  • Step 1
    Put all ingredients except the green onions, into a food processor and process til smooth.
  • Step 2
    Pour into a microwave safe dish.
  • Step 3
    Microwave on high for about 2 minutes.
  • Step 4
    Stir well and microwave for another 2 minutes or til heated through.
  • Step 5
    Stir again.
  • Step 6
    Sprinkle the top with chopped green onions and serve warm with tortilla chips.
