Ok, so who DOESN'T love Olive Garden's Alfredo sauce? I know I LOVE this stuff. It's a versatile and decadent sauce for the base of MANY pasta dishes. It's also good just to dip hot breadsticks into. Man, I'm hungry now.

Ingredients

  • 1 - pint heavy cream
  • 1/2 - cup (1 stick) butter
  • 2 tablespoons ( 1 oz) cream cheese
  • 3/4 - cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • - salt and pepper to taste

  • Step 1
    Combine cream, butter, and cream cheese in heavy saucepan. Cook over medium heat until all ingredients are melted and blended. Stir it pretty much constantly,
  • Step 2
    Add parmesan cheese and garlic, stir to incorporate.
  • Step 3
    Reduce heat to low and simmer for 15-20 min. stirring to prevent sticking on bottom.
  • Step 4
    Season with salt and pepper to taste.
