I made this dip today 02-05-`13, and it turned out awesome. I saw a Vidalia onion dip on a newsletter I received and thought it sounded so good. I did not have the correct ingredients to make it so had to use what I had inhouse...I did it this way. ooop's, should have said "I did it my way"!!! I didn't have any Vidalia onions of any size...let alone 3 small. I also added in some Sour Cream, which the recipe did not call for. All pix are my own (photo's by: CinStraw)

Ingredients

1 large sweet yellow onion, diced
4 ounces weight watchers cream cheese, cubed
3 ounces sour cream
1/2 cup mayonnaise
3 1/2 cups fancy shredded mild cheddar cheese
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
PREHEAT OVEN 375°F AND GREASE CASSEROLE DISH

How To Make cin's sweet onion & sour cream cheese-dip

Step 1

Get all your ingredients together to make it easy on yourself...and "maybe" you won't leave anything out.

Step 2

ooop's, see there I almost forgot one of my "main ingredients" anyway...here's the Sour Cream.
Step 3

Place your cubed cream cheese in a microwave safe bowl and nuke until just soft...in 30 second intervals.
Step 4

Add into the soft cream cheese: the diced onions, shredded cheddar & mozzarella. Also the sour cream and mayo. Just add everyone into the pot!!!!
Step 5

Fold together well, making sure all ingredients are incorporated. Smooth level into a greased casserole dish, and then place the casserole dish in your preheated oven.
Step 6

Bake for about 30 to 35 minutes, (I baked it 35), until it is bubbly and browned on top.
Step 7

When finished baking, take out of the oven and plate to serve with tortilla chips, corn chips, potato chips OR your favorite crackers.
Step 8

You are really going to enjoy the flavors in this dip...especially if you love onions & cheeses like we do =;D. BTW...next time I am thinking of using a bag of the 4-Cheese Mexican Blend of cheeses (instead of the cheddar) along with all the rest of these ingredients. CinStraw
