Cin's Sweet Onion & Sour Cream Cheese-Dip

Straws Kitchen

I made this dip today 02-05-`13, and it turned out awesome.

I saw a Vidalia onion dip on a newsletter I received and thought it sounded so good.
I did not have the correct ingredients to make it so had to use what I had inhouse...I did it this way.
ooop's, should have said "I did it my way"!!!

I didn't have any Vidalia onions of any size...let alone 3 small.
I also added in some Sour Cream, which the recipe did not call for.

Me and the Hubby, with lots of leftovers
35 Min

1 large
sweet yellow onion, diced
4 oz
weight watchers cream cheese, cubed
3 oz
sour cream
1/2 c
3 1/2 c
fancy shredded mild cheddar cheese
2 c
shredded mozzarella cheese

1Get all your ingredients together to make it easy on yourself...and "maybe" you won't leave anything out.
2ooop's, see there I almost forgot one of my "main ingredients"'s the Sour Cream.
3Place your cubed cream cheese in a microwave safe bowl and nuke until just 30 second intervals.
4Add into the soft cream cheese: the diced onions, shredded cheddar & mozzarella. Also the sour cream and mayo. Just add everyone into the pot!!!!
5Fold together well, making sure all ingredients are incorporated. Smooth level into a greased casserole dish, and then place the casserole dish in your preheated oven.
6Bake for about 30 to 35 minutes, (I baked it 35), until it is bubbly and browned on top.
7When finished baking, take out of the oven and plate to serve with tortilla chips, corn chips, potato chips OR your favorite crackers.
8You are really going to enjoy the flavors in this dip...especially if you love onions & cheeses like we do =;D. time I am thinking of using a bag of the 4-Cheese Mexican Blend of cheeses (instead of the cheddar) along with all the rest of these ingredients. CinStraw
