I use this sauce for vegetables like broccoli, cauliflower, potatoes and asparagus. I also use it as a dip by adding jalapenos and a little garlic. I have also used it as a spread on sandwiches and in casseroles instead of shredding cheese. It saves time and energy. Enjoy! :)

Ingredients

  • 3 cups milk
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup real butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 pound cheese (i use cheddar)
  • 1/4 teaspoon parsley (optional)

How To Make cheese sauce

  • Step 1
    Pre-heat burner on Medium High Heat with saucepot on burner
  • Step 2
    Pour Milk into mixing bowl
  • Step 3
    Add Cornstarch to milk and stir with whisk until well blended
  • Step 4
    Add Butter and Cheddar Cheese to mixing bowl and mix all ingredients together well
  • Step 5
    Pour mixing bowl ingredients into saucepan on preheated burner
  • Step 6
    Add the Salt and Parsley to the sauce pot
  • Step 7
    Stir every 2-3 minutes until it thickens to right consistency. I like my sauce thick so I let it cook for about 20 minutes.
  • Step 8
    Remove from heat and serve.
