Ingredients
- - 1 tablespoon olive oil
- - 1 red onion, julienned
- - 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- - 1 cup mayonnaise
- - 1 cup sour cream
- - 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- - 1 teaspoon chili pepper flakes
- - 1 teaspoon black pepper
- - kosher salt, to taste
How To Make caramelized french onion dip

Step 1In sauté pan over medium high heat add oil and onions. Saute for 3 minutes and then reduce heat to low and add sugar. Cook onions on low for 20 minutes; remove and cool.

Step 2In mixing bowl add mayonnaise, sour cream, garlic powder, chili pepper flakes and black pepper. Stir in cooled caramelized onions and season with salt to taste.
