You can add a small chopped Jalapeno pepper, if you want it spicier.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces canned refried beans
  • 8 ounces sour cream or light sour cream
  • 4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 tablespoon reserved bacon fat
  • 1 medium onion, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • - salt and pepper, to taste
  • 4-6 dashes tobasco sauce

How To Make bean and bacon dip

  • Step 1
    Fry bacon, drain on paper towel. Pour off the bacon fat, reserving 1 Tbls. in pan. Saute onion in bacon fat until soft. Add refried beans, stir on low heat until hot. Add seasonings, hot sauce and sour cream. Fold in crumbled bacon. Chill or serve warm with tortilla chips or fritos.
